What this website is for
It describes a medical clinic and publishes educational material about metabolic medicine. You may read it, print it and share it freely.
Reading it does not make you our patient, and nothing on it is medical advice. That is set out in full in the Medical Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.
What we collect from you here
This site uses analytics and advertising measurement, set out in the Privacy Policy, which also explains the pages they are kept off. Our pages additionally load typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or telephone, our Privacy Policy applies from that point.
Fair use of the content
The text and images here belong to Cura Vida Clinics Costa Rica LLC Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada, except where attributed to someone else. You may:
- Read, print and keep copies for yourself
- Share a link freely
- Quote a passage with attribution and a link
- Show an article to your own doctor — we would encourage it
You may not republish whole articles as your own, use the content to train a commercial model, or present our material as the output of another clinic. The marks Cura Vida, Cura Vida Longevity Medicine and the Cura Vida mark are ours.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
We check what we publish, cite whose guideline or threshold we are quoting, and say when we checked it. Where something could not be established, the article says so rather than guessing.
Even so: medicine moves, regulations change, prices change, and some of what is here will age. We make no warranty that every statement is current at the moment you read it. Laboratory reference ranges in particular differ between laboratories, and your own result must be read against your own laboratory's range.
If you think something here is wrong, tell us which article and which claim.
Availability
We do not guarantee the site is always reachable. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, without notice.
Links out
Where we name a regulator, a laboratory, a pharmacy or a study, we are describing it, not endorsing it, and we are not responsible for its content or its practices.
This is not an emergency service
Do not use this website, or any message to the clinic, for a medical emergency. In Costa Rica, call 9‑1‑1. We do not monitor messages around the clock.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Costa Rican law permits, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its general information. That limitation applies to the website.
It does not limit our responsibility for the medical care we actually provide to a patient. Professional liability for clinical acts is governed by Costa Rican law and by the Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos, and nothing here attempts to contract out of it. A clinic that tried to would be telling you something about itself.
Who may use the site
Anyone may read it. Our clinical services are for adults; where a patient under 18 is seen, the consent rules in Decree No. 44363‑S apply and are set out in the Telemedicine Consent.
Jurisdiction
This site is published from Costa Rica, by a Costa Rican medical provider, and describes Costa Rican practice. Much of it does not transfer to the rules of other countries — which medicines are registered, who may prescribe them and how they are dispensed all differ.
These terms are governed by the law of Costa Rica, and disputes fall to the Costa Rican courts.
